Overview
Parts Match Inc. (“Parts Match,” “we,” “us”) operates an online marketplace where identity-verified buyers and sellers transact in used and new automotive parts. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Parts Match you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Account information — name, email, phone, shop name, shipping and billing addresses.
- Identity verification — government ID and selfie data, processed by our verification partner. We store the pass/fail result, not the raw documents.
- Listings and messages — text, photos, fitment data, and messages exchanged between buyers and sellers.
- Transactions — order history, payouts, shipping labels, refunds, and disputes. Card data is handled by Stripe; we never see your full card number.
- Device and usage data — IP address, browser, device, and pages visited, used to keep the service secure and improve it.
How we use information
- Run the marketplace — accounts, listings, checkout, shipping, payouts, support.
- Verify identity and prevent fraud, scams, and abuse.
- Send transactional emails (orders, messages, payouts) and, with consent, product updates.
- Improve search, fitment matching, and platform reliability.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers needed to run Parts Match — Stripe (payments and identity), ShipStation and supported carriers (shipping), our cloud hosting, email, and analytics providers — and with the other party to a transaction (so buyers and sellers can complete a sale). We do not sell your personal information.
Your choices
- Update or delete your profile from the Profile page.
- Unsubscribe from marketing email at any time.
- Request a copy of your data or full account deletion by emailing support@parts-match.com. We retain records required for tax, fraud-prevention, and legal obligations.
Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit. Payments and identity verification run on PCI-compliant infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication when available.
Children
Parts Match is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this Policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice.
